Beaches and Coastline
A short stroll from the centre of town, couples and families enjoy the unspoilt, magnificent beaches of Cape Sim and SidiKaouki, with ten kilometres of coastline, the bay is a paradise for all wind and water sports. Indeed Essaouira is often referred to as the Surfing Capital of Africa.
On Essaouira’s wide and sandy beaches, you’ll find families playing volleyball, people jogging, windsurfers sailing, fishermen enjoying the tranquillity of the bay and divers scuba diving, not to mention the odd Camel!
Other pursuits such as horse-riding and quad biking are also well catered for. The town’s unique position, on the latitude of the trade winds, means that the temperature rarely rises above 30, or falls below 20, making it a perfect year-round destination.
Should any of the activities be of interest to you or your party, further details will be available on arrival.
